Congratulations to Cerena Lopez for being chosen as the Arizona VP of Communications! Way to go CVHS!

Cerena

Local CVHS incoming junior and active FCCLA member, Cerena Lopez was selected as the new AZ STATE  FCCLA VP of Communications for the 2016-17 term! She ran for a spot on the officer team and was elected on April 1! Since then she has attended meetings and last week she had a week of officer training which ended with a family/advisor dinner meeting where the slate of officers learned of their positions!

We are so proud if Cerena and know that she will represent CVUSD as a true ambassador of our high standards!  Cerena is our fifth AZ State Officer!  Adrianna Vasquez is the outgoing 2015-16 AZ State President.  Cerena and Adry were partners on their competitive event, Chapter Portfolio.  Their electronic portfolio earned them a spot to compete at the national conference this summer!

Lizbeth Gomez achieved a gold medal and the right to compete at the National Leadership Conference, NLC!  This year, NLC is being held in San Diego from July 2-8. These three girls are to be chaperoned by Mrs Dolisa Pehl and Ms Gale Caponi.

We need to thank all those who have contributed to our trip! The list is not limited to but does include Penny Hubble from State Farm and the Chino Valley morning Lions Club!

Our legacy of leadership began with Delia Sotelo who ran and was elected as AZ State President for 2012-13.  Jessi Muha was later appointed to VP  of Public Relations for the same term.  Kayden Windsor ran and was elected VP of Competitive events for 2013-14.  Then Adry as President for 2015-16 and now it is  Cerena Lopez in the spotlight!
